Stomp Fundraiser To Continue As In the Past
...Participants want things to remain the same

Results of questionnaires completed by those who attended the April 8 Stomp show that an overwhelming majority want NWA's popular fundraiser to remain the same, according to Patrick Rucker, co-chair of the event.

In addition, approximately 80 percent said that they would like to see a summer event held each year, like a sporting clays shoot. A committee will be appointed soon to plan for such an event later this year.

In terms of the dinner itself, less than five percent of the respondents offered negative responses, Rucker reported at a recent "after-event" meeting.

Overall, it appears people are content with the April-May time period for the annual event and want to see it remain as a dinner. Rucker says there were a number of additional comments offered by attendees that the Stomp committee will take into consideration when planning the 2006 event.

One thing that NWA wants to accomplish next year is to diversify the type of prizes in the auctions and raffles, offering a wider array of things beyond those strictly used in hunting waterfowl.

Look for an announcement concerning next year's Stomp in the FLYER early next year.
